What are B-Notices?

The CP2100 and CP2100A Notices from the IRS are also commonly referred to as B-Notices. A B-Notice is accompanied by a listing of recipients for whom you have previously submitted information returns. It is a notice which tells you, the payer, that you may be responsible for backup withholding on those recipients due to either missing TINs, invalid TIN/name, and/or not currently issued TINs on forms 1099B, INT, DIV, OID, PATR, and MISC.

What is Convey's B-Notice Lite?

Convey's B-Notice Lite solution allows you to import (or manually enter) information from CP2100 and CP2100A files. These data is then available for you to manage and fix directly in the software. All your B-Notice information is saved in a user-friendly and convienent location. This allows you to access all information at the same time. Convey's B-Notice Lite then allows you to print the necessary B-Notice forms for ensure that the error is corrected
